ING/OIB - Security Operations Center, Dec 2009 – present, Amsterdam
Within the Security Operations Centre (SOC) for a large scale Security Risk Mitigation program the implementation of a central Security Event Monitoring and Work Flow Management/Correlation environment (NetIQ/Aegis) for the Security Incident Management Process (SIMP) for the monitoring of servers in various DMZ area’s.

Implemented various central servers in multiple Data Centres (for Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery), realised communication between multiple Building Blocks (DMZ, Management Building Block, Server Farm Building Block), delivered Certification requests for External Connections (firewalls) and Network Detailed Level Designs.

Realised a Proof of Impact for a Work Flow & Corrlelation product (NetIQ/Aegis). With this one could cope with the large growth of Alerst/Events processed by the Security Information Analists (off-site) & Security Information Managers (on-site) for the deployment of 1000+ servers.

CISCO SYSTEMS INC, April 2009 – July 2009, Amsterdam
Several projects within Emerging Markets for the benefit of Sales Enablement were in the need of project management to enable successful delivery. Although the assignment was short (budget cuts) I realized the following with success:

Brought structure (project planning & reporting, risks & issues based on Prince2) to the Emerging Markets Virtual Theatre program. A program for the benefit of Collaboration & Work Flow for the Sales and Sales Support people. Delivered with success a Pilot version (Portal with Open Source Jive/Clearspace). Team members were spread around all timezones in the USA and Europe. Communication went by using WebEx, Cisco’s product for on-demand collaboration, online meeting, web conferencing and video conferencing.

Set up a communication plan to support the deployment of new releases of the Sales.Force.com application within the world wide Emerging Markets Sales & Support organisation.

Prepared the Concept Commit milestone (part of Cisco’s Development Life Cycle process) for the Cisco International 3.0 program. This program realizes autonomous corporations within Emerging Markets for the benefit of rapid growth countries like Russia, Brazil, and Turkey.

ING/OIB - OPS & IT BANKING, April 2008 – March 2009, Amsterdam
One of the program’s within the ING OIB (Ops & IT Banking) IT Transformation program was the CMDB/SDP (Configuration Management Data Base/Service Delivery Program) program. The goal of this program was on one hand the implementation of a uniform standard Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and on the other hand the implementation of the ITIL Service Delivery Processes. The program did run for the whole of ING in Belgium and the Netherlands. The solution was based on HP Service Center. The project management method was AMS (from IBM and based on Prince2). Side objective within the program was the realization of CMMi Level 3, Process Standardisation, by using the AMS method (PM/QA reviews).

Executed tasks/responsibilities:
Managing all the infrastructure activities and implementations, incl. Change/Release Management.
Managing the resource requests from the program and the resources offered by the standing organization (Demand/Supply).
Build complete DTAP environments In various datacenters (Wilgenplas, Mechelen/Machelen, DCV, DCH), inclusive Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery Management, Loadbalancing, SAN, Security, LDAP and Sox compliance.
Execution of System Tests (ST) and System Integration Tests (SIT) for HP Service Center and the Interfaces to the existing Back Office Systems (according to TMAP).
Gathering user acceptance requirements and executing Functional (FAT) and User Acceptance Tests (UAT) (according to TMAP).
Assist in Data migration projects for the other superfluous determined systems (30+).
Implemented Identity Access Management (IAM), by means of Role Based Access Control – icw User Access Services.
Migrated CMDB/SDP DTAP Environments (HP Blades, WIN2K, SAN) from Mechelen/Machelen (BE) Data Centers to Dutch Data Centers (IBM Bricks, WIN2K3, SAN) in DCV/DCH.
Integrated CMDB/SDP services with Core Systems like Service Desk, Security Monitoring and General Ledger (depreciations of hardware).
Implemented Security Monitoring (with TEC – Tivoli Enterprise Control) in cooperation with MCR (Master Control Room).

ING/NATIONALE NEDERLANDEN NV, November 2006 – March 2008, Den Haag/Rotterdam
Within the ING OIB (Ops & IT Banking) IT Transformation program there were three sub program’s for the benefit of migrating applications from old AIX versions (4.x & 5.1) to AIX 5.1.3 (Leraix - Legacy Reduction AIX), migrating applications from old Windows NT4/2000 Servers to Windows 2003 (WMP – Windows Migration Program) and the migration of applications which used any of Websphere, Oracle (8, 9 & 10) and Solaris to a new standardized and flexible architecture (Stepstone). These program’s run in every Vertical of the bank, Wholesale, Retail and Insurance (Nat.Ned.).

As program manager for the Domain Insurance I was responsible for managing the migrations of those three programs within Nationale Nederlanden. Several projects were executed with support from Cognizant (onshore and offshore) others were executed within the standing organization. The project management method was AMS (from IBM and based on Prince2). Some migrations concerned applications which used the central IFSA bus (SOA).

Executed tasks/responsibilities:
Migrations within the program’s Leraix (IBM AIX RS/6000), WMP (NT, WIN2K, WIN2K3) and Stepstone (Solaris, Oracle).
Managing Outsourcing/Offshore partner Cognizant.
Migrating Services (including Applications & Databases) from a decommissioned Data Center (Westland Utrecht Amsterdam) to Mechelen/Machelen.
Executed System (Integration) Tests (SI, SIT) and User Acceptance Tests (UAT) according to TMAP.

ORANGE BREEDBAND NEDERLAND BV, June 2006 – October 2006, Amsterdam
Wanadoo (ADSL Broadband), just like Orange (Mobile Telecom), a subsidiary of France Telecom were combined as one company called Orange. A complete rebranding of the web portal was necessary. As Manager Portal Web Studio I was responsible for this rebranding. Under my command was the Interactive Design team, Web Developers, Editorial team and Publishers. We had tight cooperation with Channel Management and Marketing Communications. We have delivered a successful rebranding, which means we put down a complete new Portal using a Content Management and Publishing system from Orange Spain. Inclusive the Self Service page’s which feed the Back Office systems in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). In the mean time we did maintenance on the portal using ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management).

TRANSAVIA AIRLINES CV, May 2005 – June 2006, Schiphol Airport
C:Space was a huge program within Transavia which was targeted to increase the occupancy (Capacity Space = C:Space) of the planes with a considerable percentage. Among others this meant the implementation of a new processing system for passengers and special requests, inventory maintenance, sale recording, contract management system, revenue accounting & invoicing system, B2B Portal and ticketless travel system. Within this program I was responsible for the implementation of all Generic ICT components.

Executed tasks/responsibilities:
Implemented a DTAP (IBM RS/6000, Linux) environment with double production and failover systems, incl. SAN (IBM SAN).
Identity Access Management by means of Directory Service, Security Service (RSA) and Single Sign On.
Work Flow Management module build with Notes.
Integration of Front End systems with Back End Services based on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Implemented Services as Smart Document Database (NOTES), Message Broker Service (MQ), J2EE Application Server (WAS), Governance Services (SOX. IFRS), LDAP Server and a Portal Server (Websphere).
Implementation of Incident management according to ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change, Release Mgmnt) and SLA/Quality procedures.
Testing according to the TMAP model for stucturized tests.

INTERMATIC GmbH, November 2004 - March 2005, Ludwigsburg/Germany
Intermatic GmbH is a distributor of Casino equipment and games, so called Fun-Games in Germany and Eastern Europe. Offices are based in Ludwigsburg, just above Stuttgart. As Project Manager I was responsible for the whole process of purchasing, assembling and distribution of casino/games machines, inclusive software (game development, customer adoptions, etc) and hardware (purchase, assembly, peripheral integration, cabling, etc). We designed and implemented Casino gaming machines with success (hardware - cabinet from Taiwan, motherboard and peripherals from Germany and software – games from the UK). Served customers in Germany and Serbia & Montenegro and started with a Russian company the design of new games in accordance with German gaming conventions.

OCTAVIAN INTERNATIONAL LTD., Augustus 2003 – October 2004, Guildford/UK & Saint Petersburg/Russia
Octavian International offers complete solutions, games and back office systems for the Gaming industry. Head offices are based in the UK/Guildford, software development is done in Russia/St.Petersbourg and it has sales offices in the UK, Russia, Argentina and Colombia. I worked partly in Guildford and partly in St.Petersbourg. My first responsibility was the implementation of project management according Prince2 in the worldwide organization – Russia, UK, South America. Besides I was responsible for all sales/development projects in Europe.
The result of my work was:
Introduced successfully a Project Management methodology (Process Optimization).
Accompanied games development and cabinet integration for customers in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Latvia. Managed the design and production of a new exclusive Gaming terminal. User Acceptance Tests were crucial for the game development in relation with the huge interests and possible detriment-claims with false implemented algorithms (statistics for profit issues.
Organized successfully Octavian’s presence at two of the most important and prestigious exhibitions in the Gaming world - ICE in London and G2E in Las Vegas.

CISCO SYSTEMS INC, September 2002 – July 2003, Amsterdam & Paris/France
I was responsible for system development and application maintenance in the group Sales Channels EMEA. I worked partly in Amsterdam and Paris.
Projects realized:
Implemented new versions of Cisco’s Distributor Partner and Reseller automatic Rebate program (Web Voucher).
Worked on the implementation of Auto Net Calculating Point of Sale, Unified Channel Fulfillment, Remarketing Sales Approval and Partner Reference Card program (Partner Dashboard).
Applications were build with J2EE (MVC), Swing, Oracle in a Service Oriented Architectuur (SOA). For testting we used the usage of the TMAP framewerk.

WONINGNET BV, November 2001 – August 2002, Weesp/NL
WoningNet is a full service company for housing corporations. As Head of System Development I was responsible for all the system development, software maintenance and testing and application deployment (Implementation and User Training) activities. Besides I was responsible for the second level help desk activities coming from the Front Office.
Realized: We connected new region’s, adapted the Web Portal and Back office systems. Adapted the Infrastructure (Network Sizing), deployed applications and trained end users. New products developed, bought and integrated into existing infrastructure (SMS, E-Mailing, Payment, Web Site, and Version Control - PVCS, Helpdesk - Top DESK). I implemented ITIL procedures for Problem, Change and Release Management. The Test team, run under my responsibility, executed the Unit Tests, System (Integration) Tests, User and Production Acceptance Tests according to TMAP.

T-MOTION PLC. (T-Mobile), September 2000 – October 2001, Bonn/Germany & London/UK
T-Motion was the provider of new European-wide Lifestyle Mobility Services (Email, Calendar, Address, Bookmark, Note Management and Standard and Premium Content Information Services) for private and business customers. Today the company is part of T-Mobile and the product is known as T-Zones. I was responsible for setting up a test team and managing the test activities divided over London/UK and Bonn/Germany. I was stationed in Bonn. We tested 3 internet (WEB and WAP) portals (German/TD-1/T-Online, Austria/MaxMobil and UK/One-2-One)

TOPLEASE NV, August 1998 – December 1998, Breda/NL
TOPLEASE was a FORTIS company specialized in leasing cars and located in Breda. The project was a data conversion/migrating project (AS/400 towards Oracle) and we had to analyze, convert and consolidate (redundant) customer data from various source systems. We used the Data Conversion tools SmartDB (renamed TAVIZ).

TOPWING BV, August 1998 – December 2001, Zeewolde/NL
Founder and Managing Director of TOPWING BV, a company specialized in the delivery of E-Commerce solutions in combination with Profile and Location Based Content for Fixed and Mobile Internet Applications. Supported with initial seed capital by the Dutch Silicon Polder Fund we developed our own Content Management & Delivery system. We recruited customers and Value Added Distributors in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Italy. Realized a strategically cooperation with former Mediaplex, a banner agency in San Francisco. Unfortunately TOPWING had not enough meat on the bones to survive the doc.com crisis and is liquidated in 2002.

ORACLE NEDERLAND BV, May 1989 – July 1998, De Meern/NL
From 1994 till 1998 I was as Sales Representative responsible for selling Oracle technology in Data Warehouse, Multimedia and Internet/E-Commerce projects. In those days we implemented the first sites for Wehkamp and Free Record Shop. Besides we recruited Value Added Partners to setup a Partner Channel to the benefit of selling Oracle’s Internet/E-Commerce products. From 1989 till 1994 I worked as a Pre-Sales Representative and was responsible for the technical support in sales and after sales activities. I always achieved my targets, 8 times invited for Oracle’s incentive trip CLUB EXCELLENCE.

AKZO SYSTEMS NV, 1986 – 1989 - Consultant/Software Architect/ERP Systems
As Consultant/Software Architect I was responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the system architecture of the new to build ERP applications for the client called AVEBE/Veendam (the world market leader of derivatives made out of potatoes).

BSO, 1985 – 1986 – Consultant/Quality Assurance
I was responsible for the Quality Assurance in a large-scale project (ITCIS) from PTT Telecom. Approximately 90 consultants from Cap Gemini and CMG where building, in different locations, together on this project. Quality assurance was an essential precautionary measure in order to preserve the quality of the software.

CCG/NV NEDERLANDSE GASUNIE, 1983 – 1985 – Consultant
I was responsible for project qualifications and for choosing the right tools and techniques in projects to reach the necessary efficiency and quality. One of my other activities was designing and lecturing training courses, both internal and external.
